Do you ever feel like a you’re a Gerbil, and life is one of those little wheels they run around on? You know you can only pack so much into a day, so you multi-task as many things in as you can? Then after you’re multitasked to the max, the only option is to get up earlier and stay up later? After you’ve done that without success, you realize you simply can’t please everybody/do it all/be on top of everything?

That was my week. So on about Thursday, the title and hook line of this song just fell out of me. “All day - it’s never enough. All night - it’s never enough”. Ironically, it might be the 30 Week Challenge that’s causing this sentiment right now.

Hmm…. Maybe I’ll skip exhaling, and I’ll only inhale… Yeah! That should free up 50% more time!! Sweet! Me smart.

I like it! It got my foot tappin. Not to take a shot a your vocals but I could almost hear Jon Bon Jovi singing this song and really being able to hit some high notes.

I was pleasantly surprised by the tempo and the opening guitar shuffle. That was good. I did find that the vocals can come on too strong sometimes - like “a wall of Eliots” and the grit that I thought should be there was rubbed off by that. I also liked how the vocal line finished at the end. There is good potential in there because your message in your lyrics is solid but I think the song is in the middle place between bluesy-rock - which I really dig - and adult contemporary - which my mom really digs.

Another song amongst me five ‘Yo’ faves. It’s DANCIN’ WITH ABANDON! Deliver the vocal to match. Moan, groan, spit, stomp. Have some fun being pissed off. Show Tom Jones how it’s done…..Loosen and lighten it up–
    you devil you.

    Hey Eliot,
Your singing chops sound fantastic. I can really feel your swagger in this song. Keep it up!

i liked this song, el. i could feel your frustration and i thought the music really set up the “hamster stuck in a wheel” groove. i love the way you shake it up from week to week. keep ‘em comin’

I liked the sound of the vocals kinda like you were singin in a megaphone but then it just transitioned real quick to regular sounding vocals. I really liked the tune but it went a bit all over the place for me. I think it has real potential though.
