Howdy, friends. I hope there are some disco / Brit Pop fans among you, because this week I’m making a foray into the world of elevator shoes, disco balls, and John Travolta in a tight, white suit circa 1977 (easy, ladies). Hopefully it has a bit more honesty than the average tune from that era, but I’ll let you decide.

Also, thanks to those of you that are spreading the word, by the way. My mail list is growing weekly, and it’s great to see more comments from folks I haven’t even met yet!

Great work, Elliot! I love this one!! Remember meeting me at the Road Rally in Hollywood in 06? I loved your work then, and love it even more now. you’re on your way, for sure. maybe you’ll be on-stage this year with Jason Blume and Tia?? hehe…

    Email me… Rebecca.

Fantastic beat Eliot! Its fun and when it gets you moving at 5am it must be a great one. I can play this one over and over. Dancing at the Edge of the Earth has a really different sound then the rest of your songs so far. “Romantic isnt it” sets a vibe on its own, then the lyrics paint a clear scene of 2 tragic souls wanting each other so they are dancing at the edge of the earth to be together….As usually your words capture life in an amazing way. Thanks for the music I love it.

The music is upbeat and catchy but the lyrics are tragic. I wish the song had a happy ending… I’m loving the disco vibe and it might inspire me to try and find my glitter eye shadow.

I am thinking Peter Cetera + erasure + air supply. Funny enough - I kinda like it! I could have done with a little less synthesizer (is that even how you spell it?). But I like the beat and the lyrics. Nice work! 10 more weeks to go!!

Still loving this song!!! I cannot stop playing it. Keep dancing, you have 10 more weeks. The Forces of Nature are with you not like Ben. :)

I found it a little more “Flock of Seagulls” than disco. A couple questions:

    - Don’t you think that you;re encouraging the children to dance in dangerous places. Couldn’t the song be “Dancing in the center of a well padded room with complete fire and security protection”?

    - Is this the Rebecca that you were talking about from the Road Rally in Hollywood in 06? I thought….oh never mind.

    - Why didn’t Vic comment on this one. Did you release it behind schedule?

    Cheers, Warren

Hhmmm - for me the music and vocals did not go together. But I love how you switched it up yet again and tried something totally different. What is it next week, an opera track? :) It’s 2/3 of the way in - can’t wait for next week; the homestretch begins…

I do like this one - both the lyrics and beat. I cannot believe you have reached 20 weeks. You have done a great array of music in just 20 weeks.

At first I thought, attention Kmart shoppers, but then it kept growing on me, then the head bob Evening at the Roxbury. Whats up?! It’s cool Eliot thats whats up. I bet you have Abba’s Voulez Vou , uh huh

I think you could have made your hiatus during this week’s submission. It is not you and it seems artificial to me. Sorry to be blunt but I ain’t diggin it.

It kinda reminded me of a dance remix that was half Erasure and half New Order. I guess I just got turned off right from the start by the synth sounds and artificial drum sounds.
